In sentences, or Subject And Predicate Exercises, the subject is the main thing or person the sentence is about. It usually tells us who or what is doing something. The predicate is the part of the sentence that tells us what the subject is doing or what is happening to the subject.

In the exercise, you’re given sentences where some parts are missing. You need to figure out:

  • What action is happening (predicate),
  • Who or what is doing the action (subject),
  • Where the action is taking place (if asked).
